The touring exhibition Talking About It – National Socialism and Holocaust, created by _erinnern.at_, is primarily aimed at school pupils. In the exhibition, 14 people talk about what they experienced during the Nazi era. How classmates and friends behaved towards them, how neighbours became enemies and the state a murderer. How they were able to survive and what happened to their families. Quotes and historical images are used create short video clips, which can be accessed using smart phones, tablets or computers via the QR codes and internet links. On the reverse of each panel, these memories are placed in a range of contexts: here experts speak, explaining or prompting reflection from a particular perspective. Pupils can explore the exhibition independently using the digital and printed materials either before or after a tour of the concentration camp memorial site.
