Opening times

01.03.–26.10.: daily, 09:00 am to 05:30 pm (last entry 4:45 pm)
The ‘Stairs of Death’ are accessible during the same period and in good weather (no heavy rain, no storm etc.), 9-16:45 (last entry)

27.10.–28.02.: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 am to 03:45 pm (last entry 03:30 pm)
The ‘Stairs of Death’ are not accessible during this period! The entire memorial is closed on Mondays.

Please note: closed at Christmas (24.12.-26.12.), New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (31.12.-01.01.)

During the respective opening hours, you can obtain information from the information portal with bookshop (next to the Visitor Centre).

Prices

Access to the memorial site is free of charge and possible without registration.

Notes

We do not advise visiting the Mauthausen Memorial with children under the age of 14.

Visiting the Mauthausen Memorial with dogs or other animals is not permitted.
