The online central database of the Mauthausen Memorial provides an overview of our collections and makes it possible to conduct initial research, for example in preparation for visiting the collections and the specialist library.
Since January 2026, information from the collection areas of written documents, photography, oral history, artefacts and the library can be accessed without registration at collections.mauthausen-memorial.org.
As the collections are permanently growing through new acquisitions, it may be that some holdings have not yet been entered into the database. For areas of specific research, we therefore recommend that you contact the "Collections" department directly.
For researching for persons, who died in Mauthausen concentration camp, we recommend visiting the online version of the "Memorial Book for the Dead of the Mauthausen Concentration Camp and its Satellite Camps" under raumdernamen.mauthausen-memorial.org/.
