From France we have received yet another sad information: Jacques Henriet died on 22 November 2016.

Jacques Henriet and his father were arrested in February 1943 at Mortagne-au-Perche. From a French prison, both were deported to the Mauthausen Concentration Camp. Subsequently, father and son were taken to the sub-camp Wiener Neustadt, and in November 1943 to the sub-camp Redl-Zipf. When the SS closed the sub-camp in early May 1945, Henriet was taken to the sub-camp Ebensee. Jacques Henriet survived. His father had been gassed in Hartheim in 1944.

Jacques Henriet has repeatedly participated in commemorative events at Mauthausen.

We mourn for Jacques Henriet.
