Under the working title “The End for Mauthausen?“ students from the town of Straubing and a class from the school BG/BRG Dr. Schauerstrasse Wels spent time in the framework of a media project discussing the Mauthausen Memorial. In doing so, they put in research together with the Media Culture House Wels, visited the Memorial, held discussions and finally conceived a fictitious talk-show dealing with the significance of the Mauthausen Memorial in the present, or whether any transformation of the Memorial is conceivable.

All project results were processed in a film documentary which was shown to the public at the Media Culture House Wels on 15 June. Subsequently, a panel discussion with Werner Retzl, Wels Initiative against Fascism, and Bernhard Mühleder, facilitator at the Mauthausen Memorial.
